The actress, who spent her childhood years in Antalya, graduated from Antalya Saime Konca high school. Sarikaya, who thought that the idea of living in Istanbul was scary, moved to Istanbul after she told her mother that she wanted to act.



Among her dreams, Serenay Sarıkaya, who was not acting, wanted to model. She played basketball for a long time and was interested in volleyball. Sarıkaya, who played tennis in a short period of time, was also interested in Latin dances before taking to the screens



Sarıkaya, who could not get a university education, started to receive acting training in the production company founded by Director Sinan Çetin. At the age of 15, she participated in the European Junior Beauty Pageant held in the Czech Republic. Sarıkaya, who was awarded the Special Jury Prize in the competition, was 2nd in the Miss Turkey pageant held in 2010. as, she her earned the right to represent Turkey at Miss Universe. But she  later decided to withdraw from the competition.







Serenay Sarıkaya's success in beauty pageants attracted her attention in her agencies. She had her first acting experience in 2006 with the character ‘Itir’, played by Şahin Alparslan in the romantic comedy film ‘Şaşkın’. Later, in 2008, the actress starred in the film ‘on the beach’ to great acclaim, reaching a wide fan base.



Sinan Cetin's 2008 film 'Peri masalı' by starring in the series, began acting in the series. Showing her acting skills with great success, Sarıkaya appeared again in the series ‘Limon Ağacı’ prepared by Sinan Çetin in the same year as the lead actor.



Murat Düzgünoğlu directed and Serenay Sarıkaya starred in the series called Lale dönemi ‘Yeşim Taşkıran’ gave life to the character. Sarıkaya, who received great acclaim for her song in an episode of the series, received various offers to make a music album. Sarıkaya, who is also considering studying music in later times, said that she wants to further develop this talent. She stated that she wanted to leave the series in the second season of the Lale dönemi and left the series at the beginning of the third season, dying as a result of the script.
